How do I upload files via FTP on my reseller plan?

To upload files to your reseller plan, first ensure that the domain is added to a cPanel account, or create a separate client cPanel account.

Your server IP address will be listed in your reseller plan welcome e-mail. If the domain is not live or pointing to the reseller plan, then you will need to use this server IP address instead or any domain pointing to your reseller plan, (example: 78.137.164.52 – note that the IP address will be unique to your account).

The username will either be your main cPanel account username (your reseller logins), or the cPanel logins for any client account you created.

The common settings for file transfer are:
– Host: [the server IP address/your domain name]
– Port: 21
– Protocol: FTP
– Encryption: Only use plain FTP
– Logon type: Normal
– Username: [your FTP username]
– Password: [your FTP password]

For more details, please see our guide on using FTP and the free software FileZilla.

If you have any questions on the above, please do not hesitate to 'Open a Ticket' and we will be happy to advise further.
